Quaint stay with historical charm

I really enjoyed the breakfast. It was self-service, and the staff were so friendly and helpful. The terraced gardens were beautiful. I also had a great sea view from the back of the building (which was a nice surprise).
My room did not have a tv. I knew this when I booked, but I still missed having one in the evenings. There is a communal tv room, though I would have preferred to watch in my room.

The hotel sits at the top of a village, close to two pubs. The cleveland way and other walking routes are easily accessible from here. It really is the perfect spot for walkers and cyclists.

the staff was helpful and the breakfast had a good selection.
My room faced the back, and the view was honestly quite disappointing. I saw mostly the parking lot and some unkempt storage areas (not exactly inspiring).
